Eco Club - About

ECO CLUB

The college has established the Eco Club to pave a path for Eco friendly campus. Eco Club plays an important role in creating environmental awareness among the students and staff of the college. The Eco club is a platform through which we spread the knowledge on environmental consciousness within and out of the college campus. The members  of the Eco club work to improve the environmental conditions in the college. Eco Club of the college thrive well for achieving the objectives of Environmental Education and thus leading to the creation of eco friendly campus.

OBJECTIVES OF ECO CLUB:
 
1. To Create awareness on Environmental consciousness among students and staff
2. To regularly organize Clean and green programs in the college.
3. To regularly organize Environment promotion programs
4. To convert organic waste to Wealth
5. To take up the conservation of Nature, Soil, Water and energy in the campus
6. To create a Eco friendly Campus.
 
The activities taken up in co ordination with Eco club in the college are as follows.

 
1. Clean and Green Programs
2. Awareness Programs on environment promotion within and off the campus
3. Solid Waste Management and vermicompost preparation.
4. Establishing Rain Water Harvesting pits for water conservation
5. Adopting energy efficient practices to conserve energy (LED tube lites. 5 star
rated electrical appliences, sensors to detect water flow, digital sockets for
saving electricity in hydroponic units)
6. Using waste water from R.O plants for gardening
7. Minimizing the usage of Chemical fertilizer by adopting Organic farming and usin
Azolla Biofertilizer.
8. Increasing the greenery with in the campus through Hydroponics, kitchen
garden.
9. Increasing Biodiversity through constructing Aquatic ponds in the college
10. Nature conservation through establishing seed museum
